Please indicate your choice in the appropriate space on the Registration Form. The costs include assistance, transport, tickets for museums and monuments (and lunch for the full day tours).
All tours are subject to the attainment of a minimum of 10 participants. Places will be assigned according to the date of the receipt of the form and the preferences indicated therein. We request you make your bookings within April 4, 2008. Bookings after that date will be accepted only if places are still available.
Meeting point for each tour: Palazzo del Cinema, Lido di Venezia, at 9.30.
Departure from the Lido by private taxi to Saint Mark’s square, visit the square and the Basilica. Walking through the “calli” you will reach the famous Rialto Bridge and the colourful fish and vegetable market. The tour, which will last approximately 3 hours, will finish in Rialto, where you can have a quick lunch on your own and return to the Lido by “vaporetto” (public boat).
Departure from the Lido by private taxi to reach the islands of the lagoon: Murano, Burano and Torcello, where you will see the main sights and stop for lunch on one of the islands.
Departure from the Lido by private taxi to the Church of the Salute. The tour continues walking through the less touristic area of Dorsoduro. Along the Giudecca Canal you will pass near the Guggenheim Museum, the “squero” the last and most famous boatyard, where gondolas are still built and restored. Always walking, you will continue in the direction of Saint Mark’s square, passing the Accademia bridge and the newly restored Teatro La Fenice. The tour, which lasts approximately 3 hours, will finish in Saint Mark’s Square where you will take the taxi back to the Lido.
Departure from the Lido by private taxi to S. Tomà. Walking, you will reach the Basilica of the Frari where you will see masterpieces by Tiziano, Bellini and Donatello. Then walking, you will reach the famous Rialto bridge and the colourful fish and vegetable market. You will stop for a light lunch in the Rialto area and after the tour continues to Saint Mark’s square to visit the Basilica. Return to the Lido by taxi.
